What help can I get

You do not need to login

You can fill out this screening form to find out which benefits and support services you might be able to get. At the end of the form, you can decide if you want to log in and: (1) apply for benefits, and (2) send your form to support programs and ask them to contact you about their services.

You can apply online for:

  • SNAP food benefits (food stamps)
  • Health-care benefits (Medicaid and CHIP)
  • Cash help for families (TANF)
  • Medicare savings programs
  • Long-term care

You can save your online form and work on it at different times.

Find support services

You need to log in

You can fill out this screening form to find out if you can get support services. You also can: (1) view your saved screening forms and (2) check the status of screening forms you already filled out.

Support services are for:

  • People who are older or have a disability and need help with daily living needs.
  • People who need help with a mental health issue.
  • People who need help with drug or alcohol abuse issues.
  • People who are caring for someone who needs help with daily living needs . Help can include giving the caregiver a short break (respite services)

Benefit offices = Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) offices. People can use computers in a benefit office to go to YourTexasBenefits.com. Staff are there to help. People can use the computers to apply for benefits, renew benefits, and update their case. Community partner offices = Community organizations that work with HHSC. Community partners can include food banks, churches, and community health centers. All partners have computers people can use to go to YourTexasBenefits.com. Some partners have staff or volunteers who can help people apply for benefits or check their benefit case.
